DBS “InstaRedeem”

“InstaRedeem” is now available at OpenRice! Enjoy a seamless experience at OpenRice with "InstaRedeem"!
Register "InstaRedeem" function by following the instruction at OpenRice mobile application/ website right after the payment is made at OpenRice and enjoy "InstaRedeem" after registration.

“Eligible Cards” shall mean DBS Credit Cards (excluding DBS PayLess VISA, DBS Live Fresh Card, DBS Black American Express® Card, DBS VISA Business Card and Private Label Card), DBS Co-branded Cards which have been enrolled into “DBS$ Redemption Scheme” under the DBS$ Reward Scheme and DBS COMPASS VISA. Use of Eligible Cards is subject to the DBS Personal Credit Card Terms and Conditions.

During the Promotion Period, the principal cardholders shall have the option to set off the amount payable for spending in Hong Kong Dollar with the registered Eligible Card at OpenRice Platform through the use of “InstaRedeem” function at the rate of DBS$1 or $1 COMPASS Dollar (as the case may be) to HK$1 (or at such other rate as specified by the Bank from time to time).

DBS “InstaRedeem” is available for spending amount HK$1 or above in OpenRice Takeaway, Voucher, OpenRice Pay and Book with Menu.

Yes, more than one Eligible Cards can be registered under an OpenRice account for the DBS “InstaRedeem” function.

  • After settling payment with DBS credit card, click "Continue"
  • Input your mobile number registered with DBS and click "Register"
  • Input the one-time password received via SMS and click "Confirm" afterward
  • All done! You're ready to offset transaction

Cardholder can offset the spending by DBS “InstaRedeem” on OpenRice in the first 24 hours after transaction. After 24 hours, the Offer can only be proceeded with via DBS Card+.

  • After settling payment with DBS credit card, click "Continue"
  • Choose the DBS$/COMPASS Dollar you'd like to offset, click "Offset Now"
  • All done! "Pay"You've offset relevant spending

The conversion of DBS$/ COMPASS Dollar is in integral. DBS will convert the DBS$ / COMPASS Dollar to be used by the Cardholder into a Hong Kong dollar amount at the above applicable conversion rate, and credit the relevant Hong Kong Dollar amount into the Applicable Credit Card account for offsetting the amount payable for the spending. Please refer to the examples below for reference:
